This summer has already been a record breaker in terms of temperatures. You could be forgiven for thinking you are in Cyprus, Spain or Portugal, to name just a few of the countries that you would normally associate with this type of weather in the month of June.
The BBC has reported that the record for the most 34C days in a year has already been broken.
Many people have been making the most of this unique period to create new memories with their family and friends. Some are even labelling it “The Magnificent Summer”.
One of the problems with memories, though, is that in time they tend to fade. Fortunately, however, there are ways to counteract that to ensure that these happy times can continue to be at the forefront of your mind.
Ways to remember this incredible summer for the long term
Now, if you are anything like me and, in fact, like most people that I know, you will enjoy taking photographs. This is likely to be especially when you are having a great time with your family and friends.
For those of you who are lucky enough to be living by the coast or to have already been on holiday, there is surely nothing better than visiting the beach during the periods when there is a heatwave. Swimming in the sea is an ideal way to cool down. This type of day out leads to countless photo opportunities such as one of the children building sandcastles, one of the waves coming crashing in, and one of Dad asleep on a deckchair.
As well as a beach day, people have been enjoying days out at the park, perhaps for a picnic, or as we have done as a family for a game of rounders. This was a great idea in theory, but it was way too hot, and the game finished a lot sooner than planned! But lots of fun was had, and plenty of photos were taken.
Others out there may have preferred to stay at home, to relax in the garden, and to have a barbecue. Lots of photo opportunities in this scenario as well, including ones of the tasty food to show off to others on social media.
Preserving these memories for the long term is rather simple. It’s just a case of choosing your favourite photos from all the ones that you have taken and then using an easy-to-use photo collage builder. Upload the chosen photos and then pick a layout from the ones provided. There is the option to crop or adjust the images by using the advanced editing tools that are available. You also have the option to add custom text to the photo collage for that additional personal touch. Once it has all been completed, it is then a case of deciding where you want to hang the photo collage in your home.
Just imagine in a few months, perhaps in December when it is very cold, and it becomes dark all too early. You then catch a glimpse of this stylish photo collage and head over to take a closer look. Those happy memories come flooding back, and you remind yourself that warmer times are ahead.
