Are you looking for newborn baby gift ideas? If yes, then this blog post may well be of interest as it will hopefully provide you with some inspiration.
When a new baby is born in your family or friendship group it can be an exhilarating time. It can help everyone to gain an additional spring into their step as it helps to breathe new life and enthusiasm into each and every one of us just by the sheer joy of it all. The baby, along with their parents, receives a multitude of gifts to welcome the new arrival from family and friends of the family.
Deciding what to buy the newborn can be somewhat challenging as it is good to try to make the purchase as unique as possible.
A gift that our newborn baby received fitted ideally into that unique category and is a present that is even talked about today some twenty years later. It was a baby grow featuring the emblem of our favourite local football team. The person (my brother) who gave the gift joked that he hoped that it would ensure the baby also became a supporter of this football team! I am happy to report that they did rather than supporting one of the more successful teams that are located miles away from where we are, such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City or Liverpool, which seems to be the trend these days.
The baby grow was only part of the overall gift as it also came with a rather smart picture frame. My brother stated that once the baby (our son) has outgrown the baby grow you can then place it in the frame and then hang it on the wall, as a way of preserving it and as a keepsake for when they are older. To say that I was impressed with the thought that had gone into this gift purchase was an understatement! The baby grow and the picture frame were impressive enough but the whole thought process took it to another level.
The picture frame featuring the baby grow was proudly hung and displayed on the wall of our upstairs landing for many years after our son had outgrown it.
Our son eventually went on to attend university and he had to live in the halls of residence in the first year as the university was located many miles away from where we live. When deciding what to take with him he asked whether we (his parents) would mind if he took the picture frame with the baby grow. This certainly helped to raise a smile and to be fair we were both chuffed to bits that it meant so much to him.
He now lives in a house with three of his friends and yes, the picture frame is proudly hung on the wall in his bedroom.
The newborn baby grow and the picture frame that my brother purchased really were the ideal gifts.
