If you're looking to reframe your artwork/photo by sprucing it up with a new frame, firstly you need to measure the internal size of your existing frame, or measure the exact size of the artwork/photo that you would like to reframe. The easiest way to do this is to measure the backing board of your existing frame as in the example below.
You need to measure the backing board from edge to edge in millimetres using a metal tape measure for the most accurate measurements.
NEVER measure the outside size of the frame as your artwork needs to fit in the internal size of the new frame you are ordering.
If you prefer you can measure the exact size of the original glazing in your frame, or the exact size or your artwork/photo to enable you to obtain the exact measurements to enter in our software to order your new frame.
Note down the size and enter the exact size in the width and height boxes provided as in the example below, or by clicking here to be taken to our picture frame page.
To convert inches to millimeters simply multiply by 25.4. For instance 20inches would be 20 x 25.4 = 508mm. 24.5inches would be 24.5 x 25.4 = 622mm, or use a free online conversion calculator. Don't worry about anything after the decimal point when entering your calculation.
If your hardboard/glazing/artwork/photo or print measures 800mm x 600 you would enter 800mm x 600mm in the height and width boxes provided in the design studio. Your frame will then be made to accommodate the whole of your artwork in your new frame.
If you would like more than one of the same frame you will have the opportunity to change the total once you get to the shopping cart. Discounts are available for 5 or more of the exact same specifications. Remember all our prices INCLUDE VAT.
Important Note:
1. Always use a proper ruler or a metal tape measure to measure your work for the most accurate results.
2. When referring to frame sizes we ALWAYS refer to the inside dimensions at the back of the frame or the glazing size, and NEVER the outside dimensions of the frame.
3. Always double check your sizes in the checkout before proceeding with your order.
